Hello: my name is Bruce Bertschmann, and I am trying to do some genealogical research on the ancestors of David and Harriet Percival (my maternal grandparents) who lived in Marblehead Neck and who died in the early 1950s. the Percivals had three or four children, one of whom was my mother (Constance), others being Barbara, Pryor, and Elizabeth (?). Only other detail I remember my mother telling me was that we were related to the British Prime Minister, Sir Spencer Percival, who was assassinated in 1812 and who is buried in Westminster Cathedral in London. Any help working my way backwards to Sir Spencer from my Marblehead Percival family would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I am looking for information on a James Davis, born in 1751 (I believe on 16 June, in East Haverhill) to parents John Davis (b. 29 Sep 1720 in Haverhill) and Pricilla Clark (b. after 1720, of Haverhill). The only record I have of this James Davis is his birth, and I would like to know if you have any information on his marriage, death, children, etc. and or his movements to other parts of New England.

I have a record of a James Davis, born in 1751, who lived later in Vermont, and died in 1818, and who served in the Revolutionary War with serial number S39401, but I don't know if this is the same James davis, and I am trying to link him to the James Davis born in Haverhill.

Any information about this James Davis of Haverhill or on how I can pursue this would be helpful.

Thank You

I am wondering if anyone has a reprint of an article that appeared in TEG, 10, 1990, 75-76 the Title being "Jacob Lurvey (1761-1853)----What is Your Ancestry?" by Agnes D. Carr. If so, I am requesting a copy of this article. I will be glad to pay any expenses incurred either copying or mailing the material.

Thanks

I live in the extreme NW corner of Washington state and have low vision.

I would very much like to hire a researcher who would do some searching for me in the Ipswich area of Essex County.

if there is someone who could also work on the Windham county area of CT, that would be a bonus.

the first ancestor of whom I have knowledge was Ephraim Gibson, who married Joanna Wood. He was a sea captain, who died of smallpox in the BWI.

His widow subsequently (in 1752) married Joseph Raynsford and lived in Canterbury, CT.

I feel I need to start in Ipswich, where they were married and lived.

If you can supply me with the name of a researcher, I would be ever so grateful.

Hello,

I have been trying to find my fathers birth certificate and the vital records dept. of Mass. cannot locate it. It may have been burned in a fire at the doctors office is the only reason that I've got. Could you help me or give me suggestions? My fathers name was Fred J. Difillipo. But on his SSN form it says; Ferdinand Di Filippo, jr.. My Grandfather also spelled his name on his SSN form - Di ffilippo, but on my grandfather's gravesite it says Di Filippo. And one more thing is that his brother spelled his name - De Filippo. thank you ever so much if you could possibly shine some light in my direction. Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to add that they lived on 118 or 116 Alley St. and owned a grocery store in Lynn, I think on Lynnway.

Thank you,

Antoinette M. Long
