HAWKES, HUTCHINSON family of 1600's, Lynn MA

Would very much like to learn whether anyone  is researching the five step children of Adam HAWKES of 1600's Lynn, MA. He arrived in Lynn circa 1634 with his wife, the former Mrs. Anne (Brown) Hutchinson. She had her five children from her marriage to Thomas Hutchinson. I believe that Adam and Anne HAWKES had only two children live to adulthood.

Adam's "will" from 1672 Lynn, MA, mentioned his five stepchildren as: Francis, Samuel, Thomas, and Edward Hutchinson, and Mrs. Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Hart. [on-line research shows that very few people are researching these siblings].

Thomas HUTCHINSON and his brother, George HUTCHINSON, arrived in 1630 with "the Winthrop Fleet". Thomas died a few days after arriving. His widow Anne, married Adam HAWKES in 1631 in Charlestown MA. George HUTCHINSON is my ancestor and he remained in Charlestown MA, with his son, Nathaniel. [I believe that Adam HAWKES and possibly a brother John HAWKES, were on the same ship with Thomas and George HUTCHINSON]. Thank you for your time.

WHITCOMB, Andover MA

I'm from the UK and looking for ancestors from Andover, Essex County, MA. I'm looking for the father of Benjamin Whitcomb. we believe at this time that his name was Christopher as this is the name stated as Benjamin's father on his marriage certificate to Polly Thacher. His mothers name (Christopher's wife's name) is not stated on the marriage certificate. Therefore, we have come to a dead end and living in the UK makes things all the more difficult. Please can you help?

HALL, Bradford MA

The Haverhill Library has a manila folder named "Samuel Graves of Lynn" and sub-titled: "Richard Hall". Inside the folder is material on Samuel Graves as well as a very old photo static copy (not a Xerox) of the inside pages of Richard Hall's family Bible. The pages show his ABC's as well as some writing that is mysterious (possibly Greek). The current curator  of the Haverhill special collections does not know the origin of the folder. However, as the Bible itself could contain much useful information about the origins of Richard hall of Bradford, I wonder if any reader of this note could remember seeing this Bible or have other information on the folder in Haverhill's library.

to date, the origins of Richard Hall have remained a mystery, though many false statements have been published regarding his origins (i.e.: Dorchester, MA, Stratford-on-Avon, Roxbury, MA, Middletown, CT, etc.).
