I'm seeking information on the quarries in Rockport, Mass in the mid to late 1800's. Of special interest would be information access to a list of workers during the 1880's.

Arthur and Anna B. SAHURIE

I am trying to get more details if possible on a family listed in the 1920 Census for Essex County, town of Danvers.

the ancestry.com webpage listed an entry for Arthur and Anna B. Sahurie. A couple with roots in Nova Scotia and Sweden I believe.

I looked at digitized copy of the document and one of the challenges is the handwriting. Does it really say Sahurie? Are there any other documents or family histories available on this family? Does this name come up again in the 1930 census?

There are not a lot of Sahuries in the world. Our family comes from Beit Sahur, an ancient town in Israel, but most Sahuries are from South American countries like Peru and Chile. The few Sahuries in the United States are newcomers in the past 20-30 years or so. So it strikes me to find a Sahurie in Mass. and that far back. Could it be a case where the handwriting is off and the Internet document preparer thought it was Sahurie.

Thank you again for any assistance you can provide.

Take care,
