FANNIE SKINNER

I am researching my maternal great-great grandmother, Fannie Skinner. Her birthplace lists Lynnfield, MA. She married George H. Balch, birthplace Haverhill, Ma. I would like to know the year she was born as well as my great great grandfather George H. Balch. I know I go back 10 generations on my paternal side Anthony Morse.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

PASTOR SAMUEL NICHOLS

My mom and I are working on a project for our church's 250th anniversary in Barrington, NH. we were asked to research a pastor named Samuel Nichols. He served the First Congregational Church from 1837-1842 and died in South Reading (Wakefield now) on January 5,1844 and was born December 4, 1798 in Boston.

We were wondering if you knew the cause of his death.

What he might of done in town from 1842 - his death? was he a pastor to sick to work?

Any record of his wife and children? Mary Nichols and Daniel Furber Nichols and Mary Burdett Nichols

Thank you very much for your help!

Sincerely,

Nicholas

O'MAHONEY

Col. Jeremiah W. O'Mahoney was born in Massachusetts, probably Lawrence, about 1884. Died ca 16 Sept 1936. Wife Ada, b 29 Feb 1884, Grand Rapids, Michigan and died 29 July 1958. Children: Jeremiah Jr 1927, Maureen ca 1921, Arleen Mahoney Lewis 1916, Irene ca 1910. they lived in Howard Beach, Long Island at the time of his death.

When Jeremiah and Ada died, services were held in Lawrence. Ada's obit (Grand rapids Press) says: "Funeral services will be held from the Mahoney Funeral Home, with a High Mass of Requiem Saturday, August 2 at St. Mary's church, Lawrence, Mass. Burial in St. Mary's cemetery." She was known as "Ada d'Orsay of the concert and radio world."

Looking for information on Jeremiah's family, i.e. parents, sibs...I have not been able to find anything. There were probably obits in the Lawrence newspaper for these people. I am in California and would appreciate any help/leads...

Thank you! -- Lynn Alexander
