Schooner FAME

I am looking for basic information (parents, wives, children, birth/marriage/death dates) on the eight captains of the privateer Schooner FAME. This vessel made a dozen voyages out of Salem during the War of 1812, and we built a replica of her which now operates from Pickering Wharf in Salem.

I have been able to find info on five of the eight, but the other three have pretty much stumped me so far. They are:

Abner Poland (the 3rd?)

Robert Brookhouse (not the wealthy merchant, but a contemporary of the same name. Married Sara Archer?)

John Evans (note that there was also a Capt. Robert Evans who commanded privateers out of Salem)

Very likely they were all Salem men, although Green might have spent some time in Marblehead and Poland's family might have come from Philadelphia.

Any information you can find, or resources you can suggest, would be most appreciated!

Thelma Rittenhouse

My name is Sandie Kuech Ville. I did a posting in Oct. 2004 looking for my grandmother Thelma Rittenhouse. I do believe I found her death certificate in Sacramento California. It says on the death certificate that she was divorced. (I am assuming her 2nd husband) Her married name was Thelma Everett. The death certificate said she was from Ma. and her mothers maiden name was Wood.

I believe my great grandfather is Walter Rittenhouse based on a 1920's Census, for Essex County. I can not clearly read his wife's names, but it does show Thelma as the daughter on the census.

Any thoughts on where I can find out more on this family?

Louis George Brodeur

I am searching for any information regarding George Brodeur (birth name Louis George Brodeur) b 25 Sept 1862  St Charles Quebec, Parents Joseph and Sophie (Phaneuf) Brodeur m abt. 1884 Amelia or Emilia or Emile Cossitt??

Per the 1920 Federal Census for Amesbury, MA a George Brodeur, age 56, resided on High St, Amesbury, with his wife Amelia, age 54. He immigrated in 1881. At that time he was a painter in an automotive factory. I would really like to obtain an obituary or death record to confirm the George Brodeur on the census is my George Brodeur. Per the 1900 census the above George and Emilia Brodeur were living in Lawrence, MA with their daughter, Rosana. They had been married 15 years at that time.

Any and all information or research guidance will be greatly appreciated.
