Pvt. William Dumphy
I am looking for any information regarding Pvt. William Dumphy, U.S.M.C. of Gloucester. Pvt. Dumphy was a member of Company D, First Marine Battalion and was killed in action by Spanish infantry at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on 11 June 1898. His remains were reentered at Brooklyn Navy Yard cemetery in April of 1899.
