CONVERS(E), Deacon Edward

Deacon Edward Convers(e), Married Sara? Children: 1590-1663. James Converse was a Capt in the militia 1691-1692.

I found James' name in a book called "In the Devil's Snare" by Mary Beth Norton. Then I was watching a TV show where the camera panned across some boxes in the Ward House. The name Converse was on one of them. I would really like to find out what is in it as I am a descendent. I would be willing to pay for help and copies, info etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

MORGAN, Robert

Robert Morgan came to Essex Co. (first Salem, then Beverly) in about 1635-37. I’m seeking the name of the ship he came on, including the passenger list, if possible, and I’m at my wit’s end. Robert was born in 1600/1601 in Tredegar, Wales, and died in Beverly in 1672. He married Margaret Normal (later, after Robert’s death, Margaret Fowler) in 1638. He was father to Samuel (later a Constable of Essex Co., as well as a Selectman), born c. 1637. I believe Robert to have been a farmer (I have a copy of his land record). He was admitted to full membership in the 1st Church of Salem in 1650. He was active in the community: His name appears frequently in court records of the period. I’d be most grateful for any assistance and/or advice on locating the ship name he came on (presumably to either Boston or Salem). Many, many thanks,

Gary Morgan

PARSONS, Thomas

I am looking for the ancestors of Thomas Parsons b. about 1635 and m. Priscilla Denison 9 Oct. 1666 in Ipswich. He was in Ipswich in 1656 and later Brookfield, Ma. in 1675 and then to Suffield, Ct. (then Mass.). Any information would be helpful.

BAILEY, Charlie K.

Hello, I am trying to locate the father and mother of Charlie K.  Bailey (1845-1930) of Peabody MA, the father or George Burns Bailey who is noted in the 1880 US census records as being 2 months old.

George is my g-g father. Charlie's wife is Georgia Z., although I have seen her noted as Georgiana and I believe that is what my grandmother told me. I would very much like to find more information on Georgia Z.

Bailey as well, it just seems to be an impossible task!

I know the family moved to Pawtucket RI at some point. I found cemetery records indicating this. Charlie (Charles) and Georgia (though noted in the cemetery record as Georgiana Z.) were buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Pawtuckett.

Thank you in advance.
