I would like to learn more about Victor T. Beauregard and Arthur P. Beauregard's barber business which was located on 26 Market Street in Lynn during the early 1900s (Beauregard Bros). Little is know about Victor's wife, Blanche Bernier (married 1890, later divorced?). Surname: Thomas
Query submitted by: Mary McCarl
Time Period: 1800's
I am not doing surname research, but I am looking for the Connection between the Canadian Maritimes--particularly Nova Scotia--and Gloucester. The men and young women came down in the thousands between 1840 and 1910, to work in the fisheries. Many stayed and raised families in the Gloucester area. I am beginning to plan a conference on the Connection, to be held in August, 2013. That is the 150th anniversary of St. John's Episcopal Church, but the focus will be general.
