My ancestor was an immigrant to this country. He made some of the first trails for retailers to make their way through MA and further. He married Cicely Thayer. They lived in Haverhill, Essex, MA. He was born 1583, and and died 1.29.1679. I am looking for their cemetary as well. He was associated with the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. Anything you can find on these people would be so much appreciated. Thank you for all your help. Di Boyle

Surname: Aho
Query submitted by: Markku Vuolteenaho
Primary Goals: To learn more about relatives
Time Period: 1800's, 1900's, 2000's
John Aho
My grandfather’s younger brother Juho Vuolteenaho (b. Jan 17 1879 Nivala Finland) went to USA 1899.

On Massachusetts marriages I found: The intention of marriage in Westford Nov 17 1902 and the marriage in Fitchburg Nov 27 1902 Juho Wuathenaha (wrong spelling by the clerk) born Finland 1879, parents Henry Wuathenaha and Annie Wilkuna (Henrik Vuolteenaho, Anna Vilkuna), spouse Lena Flinkk born Finland 1880, parents Frederick Flinkk and Hilda Kukkama (wrong spelling?). John has likely had his family name shortened to an easier one, Aho.

In 1905 Census John and Lena Aho live in address Westerly E.D. 379 Rhode Island.
In 1910 Census John and Lena Aho live in address Lawrence Ward 2 Massachusetts with their 4 years old son John. John worked as a stone cutter and Lena was a weawer. This is the last trace of my granduncle.
I am seeking for John Aho’s (Juho Vuolteenaho) life events and possible descendants.
