MCCARRON / FAULKNER
I have been researching my family history for some years and have now hit a few 'blocks'. According to my great grandmother's death certificate she was born in Salem Ma. I have not been able to verify this. My great grandmother was Margaret T. McCarron born b/t 1855 & 1865 (headstone says 1860). Her parents were Patrick and Catherine (Faulkner) McCarrron, both born in Ireland. I believe Patrick was from Co. Donegal. Margaret married Henry F. Hughes 03 Oct 1883, in Worcester MA (Sacred Heart of Jesus). Henry's occupation was listed as machinist and Margaret's as weaver. Margaret and Henry raised their family in Boston (5 boys and 1 girl). Margaret died 28 Jul 1929 at the age of 69. She and Henry are buried in Holy Cross cemetery, Malden MA. After her marriage I can track Margaret on the U.S. census (1900-1920), but not before. Margaret's parents (Patrick & Catherine) died in Worcester MA --Patrick 01 Feb 18989, age 64, occupation steamfitter and Catherine 26 Feb 1892, Age 51, occupation housekeeper. I would appreciate any help you can give me to find out more information on my family. If there is a private researcher you can direct me to that would be greatly appreciated.
