JEFFREY, Erastus Erban

My great-grandfather, Erastus Erban Jeffrey, was born in So. Danvers, MA on 2/2/1834. I have been unable to locate a written record of his birth from the state of Massachusetts Vital records Div., or from the town clerks (or town archives) of Danvers, Salem or Peabody.

I am trying to determine his parentage. a New England Historic Genealogical Society online vital record of his second marriage to Laura F. Allen states his father and mother's names were "Edmund and Hannah". But there is also an NEHGS record for an Edward Jeffery (married to Hannah Galeucia) born in Saugus, Ma in May 1780 who died in South Danvers March 22, 1865.

Was Erastus' father Edward or Edmund...or neither?

RANDALL, Richard

Richard Randall and Amelia Howard were married in Newburyport 9 August 1818 and his place of birth was the Isle of Shoals. I have never been able to go further back with either line and I am wondering if Richard was a descendant of William Randall. I also have another person Anna Ayers Allen of Boston who married Moses Thayer and have not been able to her, the Thayer's.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
