EDES (EADES), Thomas
I am looking for information about Thomas Edes (or Eades) of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Thomas Edes and Lucretia Day were married in 1744 in Gloucester (intention of marriage listed as October 13, 1744, in the vital records of Gloucester). They had the following children – Thomas, born November 8, 1745; Joseph, born June 8, 1747; James, born July 1, 1749; Gideon Day, born March 29, 1752; Benjamin, born March 26, 1754; George, baptized June 20, 1756; and George Dennison, baptized June 12, 1757. Thomas Edes possibly died at some time in the period of 1757 to 1759, as Mrs. Lucretia Edes married Isaac Dennison on March 16, 1760.
I am specifically interested in determining the parents of Thomas Edes of Gloucester. Some researchers have attributed the parents of Thomas Edes of Gloucester to be Peter Edes and Esther Hall of Charlestown, Massachusetts, and others have attributed the parents to be Edward Edes and Susanna Welch of Boston. However, neither of these situations is plausible. Peter Edes and Esther Hall of Charlestown had a son, Thomas Edes, born on September 26, 1737, which would have made this Thomas Edes 7 years old at the time that Thomas Edes of Gloucester married Lucretia Day in 1744. And Edward Edes and Susanna Welch of Boston had a son, Thomas, born on April 11, 1715. However, this Thomas Edes of Boston married Sarah Larrabee on December 21, 1738, and they had four children during the 1740’s, which would have meant this Thomas Edes had two wives and two families, one in Gloucester and one in Boston, during the same period of time.

PARKER, James
My name is Ron (Ronald) A. Gove and am a former resident of Saugus, Essex County, MA. I currently reside in Leesburg, Virginia.
I am trying to expand a genealogy created by William Henry Gove.
Specifically, I am trying to expand the Parker line.
One of my 3rd Great Grandfathers was James Parker, born about 1817 and who was married to Caroline Munson from Maine.
My specific query is to determine the exact date and place of birth of James and as much information about his ancestors as possible. I have not even been able to determine the names of his parents.
Related to this, James had a son, also James b 1843, who married Philinda unknown last name b 1845. Their daughter Caroline, married Enoch Gove 26 Nov 1873. Philinda's last name and parents is also of interest to me.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
