I am looking for information, sources, anything I can find on the background of Elizabeth Nurse (17 Feb 1819 - 09 Jan 1849). I have that she was born in New York, but that could be wrong. She died in Jeffersonville, IN. She married my great great great grandfather, Peter Myers (29 Mar 1812 - 5 Jan 1887). He too was supposedly born in New York, but I can't find any information on his background either. I have a photo of their tombstone if that would be of any help. My mother has a large painting we have been told is Elizabeth and it has been in the family for years. At one time my Aunt had a pedigree or timeline that went back to Rebecca Nurse that has been lost.

These are the two spellings I have of my mothers name. I was told they came from Ireland & Scotland then came to Massacusetts then moved west to Ohio & then In & finally IL.
I am wondering if they lived in Salem at the time of the witch trials?

William B. Smith father & son lived in Salem, MA in the 1800s. They are both in the 1850 US Census, both Mariners. the son married into my family 12 Jan 1854 in Boston. The couple had a child born in MA but within 2 years William B. Smith died at sea as far as we know. I am looking for either a Death Certificate or maybe a newspaper article about his death.

Surname: Collins
Query submitted by: Robert L. Collins Jr.
Primary Goals: To learn more about relatives
Time Period: 1700's or earlier
Daniel Collins b 1648 & d.1690 Enfield, CT(this I definitely know). I wish to know where he was born and if he immigrated, when and where from. I can not make a family connection with any Collins at this time for Daniel.
According to Savage New England Register, Vol#1, Pgs 430-440 Deacon Edward Collins and Henry Collins were in Boston and Lynn respectively. They arrived in 1635 to America. Savage lists other Collins present at that time. My DANIEL Collins married SARAH TIBBALS in 1677 in Milford, CT. It seems to me that Daniel is linked some how to Deacon Edward Collins since Daniel and Edward's grandson end up together in Enfield, CT sometime before 1690 when Daniel dies. Edward's grandson Nathaniel is the pastor in Enfield and a graduate of Harvard. His father Nathaniel completed his religious studies at Harvard. There were more than a few Collins in the Essex area around 1635.
Thanks for any assistance you can give me or any direction/advice. I would like to know where Daniel d.1690 was born, and if possible who his parents are.
